Heroes Come in Different Sizes
The emotion in Andryk’s Mom’s word is just palpable. It’s very touching that this nice family wants to pay it forward sometime down the road.
2025 Year in Review
Thank you B+ Nation!!! You’ve changed a lot of lives and you’re changing the landscape of childhood cancer for the future.
Happy Thanksgiving
Mason is only 13 years old, he’s been diagnosed with brain cancer, lost his dad to an accident, is one of 4 kids, and lives hours from his hospitals…yes, plural - hospitals. That’s the life of a child with cancer.
Speak Up for June
If you’re having a tough day, look at cute, little June.
As you’ll see from June’s family’s note, they live 3.5 hours away from their hospital!!! They were at risk of losing their car before B+ stepped in.
We’re Here for You Scarlett
“On behalf of my family I would like to thank your foundation for the assistance that you were able to provide for our family. I have sat down several times and tried to write a handwritten note for you but I have failed to complete one.”
A Colossal Donation!
Colossal is an amazing Scottsdale, AZ-based company who has made such an amazing impact on our ability to help families of kids with cancer over the past 10 years.
Addy & Action Days
Last week, I traveled to DC for an Alliance for Childhood Cancer meeting. The Alliance is a small (~25 groups) collection of professional groups (I.e. American Academy of Pediatrics)and Advocates (I.e. American Cancer Society, B+) with a focus on federal legislation advocacy.
“Our World Stopped…”
Powerful words from Addie’s family. You never think it’s going to happen to you. I know I didn’t.
Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
Last Saturday night, I had the privilege of being on the field at Citizen’s Bank Park with my family as we helped to hold a huge gold ribbon in the outfield in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Andrew’s Birthday
Last Wednesday was Andrew’s 33rd birthday. Thank you to everyone who posted nice notes and donated to the Andrew’s Birthday campaign.
These Are More Than Checks
I want you to see what you enable us to do. The picture below is one week’s worth of Family Assistance Program checks.
Tee It Up for the Kids
I like posting pictures with the notes from the families so that you can literally see who you’re helping. In this case, even though we haven’t received a picture yet, I thought the note was too powerful not to share.
High Cute Factor
If Kavani’s picture doesn’t make you smile, there’s a problem! Start every day looking at this beautiful child.
The Saddest Day of the Year!
I can’t believe it’s been 18 years, Andrew. I miss you every day. It’s a dimmer world without you physically here. I love you, Andrew!
Meet Two of My Bosses
I would like to take a minute to express my appreciation to all of you who wrote such nice comments in response to my induction into the University of Delaware Alumni Wall of Fame. Your comments mean a lot to me!
Climbing New Heights!
Congratulations to B+ Program Manager, Hugh McLaughlin (pictured on far right), and everyone on the B+ Team for successfully climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.
